Fujifilm’s X100 series of cameras is all the rage right now thanks to going viral on TikTok and the most recent model is so rare that you’ll struggle to buy one, but we know how you can try.
The Fujifilm X100VI Limited Edition is on the way, but the Japanese company says that “due to unprecedented demand” it will be sold by way of a special ballot. In the UK there are just 110 cameras up for grabs with 300 in the US albeit without a ballot system.
That’s a small percentage of the 1,934 that have been manufactured worldwide and around one camera per 100 million people in the USA. It is a limited edition after all and arrives on 6 April in the UK as part of Fujifilm’s 90th anniversary.
Each of the X100VI Limited Editions will be individually numbered and feature an engraving of the original Fujifilm logo from 1934. It’ll be presented in a special box with a strap, soft release button and history cards.
The price? £1,934 in the UK or $1,999.95 in the US where it goes on sale 21 March starting with 100 units.

No doubt long-standing and new Fujifilm fans will be foaming at the mouth at this new model and the ballot means everyone has a fair chance of buying one.
Speaking of which, the ballot will be open on 25 March at 8am for 48 hours. If you want to enter then make sure you are signed up to the Fujifilm UK mailing list ahead of time.
You’ll then be emailed a link on 25 March with details of the ballot. The lucky ones chosen will be notified on 2 April and be invited to purchase the X100VI Limited Edition at the firm’s House of Photography in Covent Garden, London, in person on 6 April.
If you are chosen, you’ll have 24 hours to confirm your purchase request from the time of notification, so keep a keen eye on your inbox on 2 April.

Payment will be taken on the day and ballot winners will be asked to bring ID and proof of address. It appears there is no alternative for anyone who can’t make it to London to buy the camera in person.
Theo Georghiades, general manager at Fujifilm UK, said, “Interest in this camera has been extraordinary – possibly the most coveted model we have ever released.” adding that “we believe this is the most appropriate way to make sure that customers in the UK will have a fair opportunity to own this very special limited model.”
