At the start of each year, smartphone launches are dominated by one company: Samsung.
The Korean giant usually launches its flagship ‘S’ series phones shortly after the new year, and that’s no different in 2024.
Samsung has confirmed that its next Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on 17 January, with the Galaxy S24 almost certain to be on the agenda.
Three phones are expected once again, but you don’t need to wait until then to secure your device. And by reserving one ahead of time, significant savings are available.
How to get £50 off the Samsung Galaxy S24 in the UK and free accessories
To get a £50 discount code in the UK, all you need to do is go to the Galaxy Unpacked website and fill out the form by 11.59am on 16 January.
You’ll then receive a £50 voucher via email “no later than 17 January”, which is valid for anything on the Samsung website until 11.59pm on 30 January. Even if you don’t buy an S24 phone, you’ll still be able to use it.
By registering, you’ll also get a free case and screen protector that’s usually worth £74.99. And be entered into a draw to win a trip to Chicago worth £3000.
How to get $50 off the Samsung Galaxy S24 in the US
In the US, head to the Galaxy Unpacked website and fill out the form to reserve your device. After launch, Samsung will then contact you with details of the $50 credit you received. This will be via email, or text if you supplied a phone number.
However, the difference compared to the UK is that it must be used to pre-order one of the Galaxy S24 phones. And there’s no free accessories or Chicago trip available.
Lots of third-party retailers and carriers are expected to sell the phones in the UK and US after they’re announced, but you’re limited to Samsung itself at this stage.
Of course, you’ll be able to boost your savings significantly by trading in your old phone. Details are yet to be revealed, but almost all working phones can usually be used to get a discount on your purchase.
When will the Samsung Galaxy S24 be released?
Samsung has announced that its next Unpacked event will take place on 17 January 2024. And the official teaser video all but confirms that the Galaxy S24 will be on the agenda.
If previous years are anything to go by, the phones are likely to go on sale 1-2 weeks later. But that’s yet to be confirmed.
How much will the Samsung Galaxy S24 cost?
Pricing for the Galaxy S24 series is yet to be confirmed. But we can have a good guess based on how much last year’s Galaxy S23 phones cost at launch:
- Galaxy S23 – from £849/$799
- Galaxy S23+ – from £1,049/$999
- Galaxy S23 Ultra – from £1,249/$1,199
These were some of the most expensive Android phones you can buy, so hopefully they won’t be even more costly this time around. And perhaps the UK and US figures will be the same.
