Whilst Gene Wilder is synonymous with the iconic character Willy Wonka, Timothée Chalamet will be putting his own stamp on the role in a brand-new musical releasing this December.
Created by Paddington writer Paul King and Ghosts alumni Simon Farnaby, Wonka features a stellar cast, a myriad of bizarre sweets and plenty of charm that fans of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will be familiar with.
If you’re wondering whether there’s any bonus content after the screen cuts to black, we’ve rounded up everything you need to know.
Does Wonka have a post-credits scene?
Whilst there isn’t a specific ‘scene’ at the very end of the movie, there’s a montage that takes place almost instantly after the final scene as the credits begin to roll – so be sure to stick around a few minutes if you want to catch it.
Lofty the Oompa Loompa (played by the iconic Hugh Grant) performs the classic Oompa Loompa song, informing us what happened to the characters after the events of the film – including the Scrubbits being punished for their crimes and the adventures of the rest of the chocolatier’s team.
There isn’t any reference to Charlie Bucket or other stories by Roald Dahl, meaning that there aren’t any indications of potential sequels or Dahl spin-off films… for now.
