After a long absence, Captain Marvel is finally returning to Earth. Still, she won’t have much time to rest as the universe is once again in peril – threatened this time by the Kree, who are eager to take revenge on her for their defeat years ago.
This time, the superhero can count on the help of two allies, but the hook is that they’re entangled via their powers. Captain Marvel joins forces with her best friend’s daughter, now S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau, and teenage Kamala Khan aka Ms Marvel. The trio is, of course, assisted by Nick Fury and a fluffy Flerken named Goose.
The Marvels will be loaded to the brim with adventure and humour, but MCU fans will still be wondering if the filmmakers have tucked away any additional material at the end of the film. We decided to look into the matter.
Is there a post-credits scene in The Marvels?
There has been no official confirmation as to whether there will be additional scenes in The Marvels, and if so, how many there will be. However, post-credits scenes are a tradition in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so we’d advise you to stay in your seat once the credits roll.
But there has been a rumour or two flying around.
Is this rumour about The Marvels post-credit scene accurate?
Possible spoilers for The Marvels below.
In the summer, there was an alleged leak about a post-credit scene in The Marvels.
In a now-deleted Tweet by CanWeGetToast, it was reported that The Marvels contains one post-credit scene, in which Kamala Khan appears. The superhero comes across Nick Fury’s tablet, which contains information on all active Avengers. Kamala uses it to track down Kate Bishop, Hawkeye’s protégée, and asks her to join forces. Khan and Bishop consider bringing in Cassie Lang, Ant-Man’s daughter, to join the team.
It sounds plausible – but it is only a rumour, and we can’t confirm that it’s true.
We’ll be updating this article as soon as more information is available. In the meantime, you can check out the trailer for The Marvels:
