Chinese company Oppo has been at the forefront of smartphone innovation for a while now.
The firm has released several foldables, but it’s also doing exciting things with regular handsets. This is particularly apparent in its flagship Find X series, which combine cutting-edge design.
Disappointingly, 2023’s Find X6 and X6 Pro were exclusive to China. But that followed the excellent Find X5 Pro and Find X3 Pro, both of which were released globally.
How widespread will the Find X7 release be, and what can we expect from the upcoming phones? Here’s everything you need to know.
When will the Oppo Find X7 be released?
We don’t have any concrete information regarding the release date of the Find X7 phones, but we can make some predictions. Here’s when its predecessors were released:
Given the release dates of previous models, we expect the Oppo Find X7 to be unveiled in Q1 of 2024.
However, there remains a big question mark as to whether a potential Find X7 or X7 Pro will be available outside China. At this stage, it’s impossible to be sure either way.
How much will the Oppo Find X7 cost?
At this point, we also have no information on the pricing of the upcoming Oppo Find X7 phones. Here’s how their predecessors were priced at their initial launch:
But given the uncertain economic conditions since Oppo last released a flagship phone outside China, it’s difficult to predict how much Find X7 phones might cost.
Nonetheless, it’d be a surprise to see Oppo deviate hugely from Find X5 pricing, so expect something around £749/€999 for the regular model and £1,049/€1,299 for the Pro.

What specs and features will the Oppo Find X7 have?
Oppo Find X7
An October Geekbench 6 listing is thought to be the regular Find X7. While not mentioned there, GSMArena suggests the chipset will be MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300, rather than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
This may come as a surprise, considering the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 powers the Find X6 Pro.
However, Oppo confirmed at the Snapdragon Summit in October that its “future flagship smartphone will be one of the first to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform”. Either it’s not referring to the Find X7, or the above rumour is incorrect.
One spec mentioned in the Geekbench 6 listing that we can be confident about is 16GB of RAM, at least on one of the models. It was the top-spec version of the Find X6 Pro, with a 12GB option also available.
If it is the Find X7, a score of 2139 points in the Geekbench 6 single-core test and 7100 points in the multi-core test is impressive.
Oppo Find X7 Pro
There’s no concrete news regarding the Find X7 Pro’s chipset. But if the rumour about the regular model’s Dimensity 9300 turns out to be true, the Pro will probably follow suit.
Firstly it was highly likely that the OPPO Find X7 Pro will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, but looking at recent Geekbench listing of the Find X7, it is possible that the Pro model will also house the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset.
In June, the Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station hinted that the phone might feature an “ultra-narrow” curved screen and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
In July, the same leaker suggested that an upcoming Find X7 Pro might come with a periscope camera, curved screen with 2K resolution and 50W wireless charging. But none of these will be upgrades, as they’re already present on the Find X6 Pro.
In August, leaker Mess With Assen made several claims regarding the display and camera. These claims include a Samsung E6 2K LTPO screen with 2,500 nits of peak brightness, a 32Mp IMX709 selfie camera, a 50Mp IMX989 main camera, and both ultrawide and periscope cameras with an IMX890 sensor. These specifications are consistent with the Find X6 Pro, but the leaker mentioned potential changes to the lens and aperture.
In September, Digital Chat Station provided claimed that the Find X7 Pro would retain a 50Mp, 3x periscope camera with a 1/1.5-inch sensor size.
In October, Digital Chat Station shared a schematic image that appears to be of an Oppo Find X7 Pro. The image displays both the front and back of the phone, revealing a quad rear camera system that includes a periscope lens.
The camera setup is housed in a circular design, with three vertically aligned lenses and the fourth camera positioned to the left. Additionally, there’s a centrally located punch-hole cut-out on the front, a power button on the right, and volume buttons on the left.
