Samsung launched the Galaxy S23 series in February this year, which has been a hit in the global market. For years, Samsung’s Ultra smartphone models have been known for their camera capabilities, particularly their 10x periscope camera. However, according to a recent leak, this feature might become a thing of the past as the next year’s Ultra model ‘Galaxy S24 Ultra’ might lack the 10x zoom camera.
Leaker Ice Universe has revealed on X that the upcoming Galaxy S24 Ultra will likely feature a 50MP 5x telephoto camera, replacing the 10MP 10x periscope camera.

Ice Universe further said that the new Ultra model will stick with a 10MP 3x telephoto camera for short-range zoom.
Following previous leaks suggesting the Galaxy S24 Ultra would feature a 50MP 3x camera, the notion of using a 5x 50MP camera makes sense, as it eliminates the necessity for an extremely high-resolution 3x camera to bridge the zoom range between 3x and 10x, the report said.

Recently, tipster Yogesh Brar claimed that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.8-inch Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide (LTPO) display with 120Hz refresh rate. He also said that the new Ultra model might feature a titanium frame and will likely come packed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Also, the upcoming high-end smartphone model is expected to come packed with a 5,000mAh battery and will likely come with support for 45W charging.
Earlier, tipster Ice Universe had claimed that the Galaxy S24 Ultra could launch with a Titanium Alloy middle frame and might weigh 233 grams. The tipster also said that the smartphone’s display is expected to feature a 19.5:5 ratio and up to 2500 nits of peak brightness, which is way more than Galaxy S23 Ultra, along with a resolution of up to 3120×1440 pixels.
